6000 Series Aluminium Rods

6000 series aluminium rods are known for their exceptional combination of strength, corrosion resistance, and workability. These rods primarily contain aluminium with magnesium and silicon as the major alloying elements, contributing to their excellent mechanical and chemical properties.

6000 series aluminium alloys are primarily alloyed with magnesium and silicon, providing excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability. Their chemical composition includes: (Al): 95.8% to 96.4%, (Mg): 0.8% to 0.90%, (Si): 0.4% to 0.8%, (Fe): Maximum 0.7%(Cu): Maximum 0.3%, (Mn): Maximum 0.15%, (Cr): Maximum 0.35%, (Zn): Maximum 0.25%, Residuals: Maximum 0.15%
